In eastern Massachusetts, a 10 yard dumpster rents for $590, a 15 yard for $690 and a 20 yard for $790. Those prices include delivery, pickup, two weeks and a weight allowance (1.5 tons, 2 tons and 3 tons). The only common extras are weight over the allowance ($225 per ton, billed by the pound), days past two weeks ($10 each) and per-item fees for mattresses, TVs, tires and similar items.

Prices by size
| Size | Dimensions | Weight included | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 yard | 10' L × 8' W × 4' H | 1.5 tons | $590 |
| 15 yard | 12' L × 8' W × 6' H | 2 tons | $690 |
| 20 yard | 14' L × 8' W × 6' H | 3 tons | $790 |
Each price covers the whole rental: drop-off, two weeks in your driveway, pickup and disposal up to the weight allowance. There's no separate fuel, delivery or "environmental" fee added at the end.
What can add to the bill
- Weight over the allowance. $225 per ton, billed to the pound. Going 400 pounds over costs about $45, not a full ton.
- Extra days. $10 for each day past two weeks.
- Items Massachusetts bans from the trash. They have to be pulled out and recycled, so each one has a fee:
| TVs / CRTs | $50 |
| Mattresses / box springs | $100 |
| Appliances with Freon (fridges, freezers, AC units, dehumidifiers) | $50 |
| Other appliances not placed on top of the load or at the back door | $50 |
| Tires | $25 |
Washers, dryers, stoves and other appliances without Freon cost nothing extra if you set them on top of the load or just inside the back door. Mention them when you order so the driver can pull them for recycling.
How to keep the cost down
- Pick the size by the job, not the price. Renting a 15 yard and needing a second haul costs more than renting a 20 yard once.
- Keep heavy debris in check. Dirt, brick, concrete and shingles hit the weight limit fast. For a load that's mostly heavy material, a 10 yard is the right size.
- Set mattresses and appliances on top. Items at the top or by the back door are easy to pull for recycling.
- Call when you're done. If you finish early, we pick up early, which frees your driveway.
Why some quotes look cheaper
A low advertised price sometimes covers only a few days, a smaller weight allowance, or leaves out delivery and disposal. When you compare, ask how many days are included, how much weight, and what the per-ton charge is over that.
